Sounds like you're in the market for the new Völkl 90Eight Skis, a fresh new model with a 98 mm waist and Völkl's new 3D Ridge construction. 3D Ridge leaves the ski thick in the middle and under the boot, but slashes mass along the edges both ahead and behind the boot. The result is a drastically sculptured shape (kind of like an F1 car) that results in a lighter and more responsive ski that can still hold an edge and feels solid at speed.
