Descender Evolution 2027
The Descender Evolution is built for maximum response and stiffness, rated 9/10 on the flex scale and designed for expert riders and pros who demand absolute precision at speed. An evolution of our original Descender , the EVO introduces new materials and construction upgrades aimed at ultra-fast performance and increased stability in demanding terrain. For the first time in a snowboard, we’ve integrated D3O vibration-reducing technology into the nose to create an exceptionally planted ride at any speed. D3O is a non-Newtonian material commonly used in protective gear that stiffens instantly when exposed to impact or force. By placing the D3O insert only in the center of the nose, the board maintains optimal torsional flex for precise turn initiation while significantly improving stability and damping in rough conditions. Fast, powerful, and incredibly composed, the Descender Evolution is built for riders pushing the limits of speed and control. One board. Dynamic flex. Total confidence in any terrain. specifications Length: 158, 161, 162 wide, 166 wide Core : Paulownia mixed with full length poplar and ash stringers Construction: Triax glass with double unidirectional carbon stringers and carbon torsion rods. Ash is perfect for building high-performance snowboards as it dampens vibrations and holds its camber, extending the life of your board. Adding poplar and paulownia keeps the weight down. Choosing a premium material also allowed us to reduce the use of petroleum-based composites. #image_991812753 { width: 100%; } #image_433361789 { width: 100%; } #image_347438605 { width: 100%; } Two time Scandinavian big mountain champion Stefan Östling on the Descender Evolution.
