Compass The Strangers 2027
The Compass runs a 3D base developed by Jason Kanes, who has designed and manufactured snowboards since the early '90s. It's proprietary technology, not licensed or borrowed from anywhere else, and it's the same technical edge Signal's own team rides for themselves. A slight bevel on both edges eases up into the sidecut rather than running flat all the way out, taking the very edge of the base slightly out of contact with the snow. That shape means less base area to catch when you're flat-basing onto a box or sliding a rail, and it lets the nose and tail plane over soft snow instead of digging in on low-angle powder days. It's not a beginner board. Getting the most out of that 3D shape takes a flex that rewards riders with real experience already.
