Handmade blunt-nose pintail powder board from Niseko, Japan. Shaped by master board builder Tomohito Yamazaki for deep snow and tight trees. Made to order by Offshore Snow Shapes. The Intention The Yamazaki is the most personal board Offshore makes. Yama shaped it for himself first, a performance tree board refined over years of feeling rather than spec sheets. Blunt nose, pintail, drawn to lift, project, and turn on a dime in the deep. It is not built to do everything. It is built to do one thing with soul, and to carry the name of the man who made it. How It Rides In deep snow the Yamazaki lifts early and stays high, the blunt nose projecting you forward while the pintail sinks and floats. It turns on a dime, so tight trees and quick line changes feel natural. The medium flex keeps it lively and forgiving underfoot, never harsh. There is enough tail left to stomp drops and pop off features. On firm snow it will hold an edge and get you home, but its heart is in the trees and the deep. A board that rides on feel. The Rider For the rider who lives in the trees and the deep. Someone who values feel over numbers and wants a board with real soul. Confident on their feet, patient, and happy to let the shape lead. Intermediate through expert. Directional, and one of a kind. The Terrain Deep snow and tight trees. Natural drops and pillow lines. Quick, playful turns through anything soft. The Yamazaki is happiest weaving through the trees on the deepest days of the season.
