Offshore Snow Shapes
Tipi 2027
Handmade directional powder all-rounder from Niseko, Japan. A floaty nose for deep days, a rounded tail for side hits, and a medium-stiff flex with real power. Made to order by Offshore Snow Shapes. The Intention The Tipi started with Trevor Ponting. He loved two OFSR boards for different reasons, the float of the Snurfs Up and the playful, switch-friendly tail of the Winnie, and wanted one that did both. So we built it. A floaty nose for the deep days, a rounded tail for side hits, and enough power underfoot to stay composed when things speed up. The result is a board that feels balanced from the first turn and has a habit of making you notice pieces of the mountain you might normally ride straight past. Powerful and fun in equal measure. Forever the leader of the pack. How It Rides In deep snow the nose lifts early and keeps you riding high, floaty and easy. The rounded tail stays ready to slash, pop and take a side hit or switch landing in stride. The balanced flex is where much of the Tipi's character comes from. Stable enough to trust, but lively enough to make you start looking around. Banks become turns. Rollers become take-offs. Transitions become part of the line. On firm snow it settles and carves with confidence. Playful when you want to move around, strong when you lean on it. The Rider For the rider who wants deep snow without giving up the rest of the mountain. Someone who likes to play with terrain, but still wants stability and power underneath them. Confident and energetic. Intermediate through expert. Directional at heart, playful by nature. The Terrain Deep days in the trees. Side hits, banks, rollers and natural features on the way down. Groomers to link it all together. The Tipi has a way of finding the fun in the little things.
