Handmade volume-shifted swallowtail powder board from Niseko, Japan. Short and wide, it floats high in deep snow and carves firm snow with real bite. Made to order by Offshore Snow Shapes. The Intention The Fugu is for riders who already speak volume-shifted. We drew it short and wide so you can size down, float higher, and turn tighter than a longer board allows. It is not a beginner's shortcut. It is a performance shape in a compact body, fat and forgiving in the deep, sharp and precise the moment you lean on it. A fish with teeth. How It Rides In deep snow the Fugu floats fat and easy, the width and swallowtail holding you high with almost no effort. Point it at firmer snow and it wakes up. The medium-stiff flex and healthy sidecut bite hard, carving tight, precise arcs that feel impossible for a board this short. The flared moon tail steadies everything, tracking clean through variable snow and landing drops without chatter. Nimble in the trees, deadly on an edge. It floats when it's deep and pierces when it's pushed. The Rider For the rider who already understands volume-shifted sizing. Someone who wants to ride shorter, float higher, and still carve with authority. Confident, technical, and after performance in a compact package. Intermediate through expert. Directional, and a little bit dangerous. The Terrain Tight trees and technical powder. Pillow lines and clean landings. Steep pitches where a shorter board turns quicker. The Fugu thrives where the terrain gets tight and the snow gets deep.
