2024 K2 Excavator Snowboard Named for its intended use, the K2 Excavator specializes in digging deep trenches on groomers and displacing powder after the storm cycle. Built around a mid-wide outline with a dual-radius sidecut, the K2 Excavator snowboard caters to the advanced level rider looking for a directional snowboard to carve on groomers and float in the soft snow. Camber Profile Directional Camber Profile - Camber between the feet and a slight rocker in the tip gives you all of the power and energy of a cambered snowboard, but with a little extra float on those deep days. Flex Flex Rating - 7/10 (1=Soft, 10=Stiff) Shape Directional Core S1 Core - Created to be more damp underfoot and incredibly strong, the S1 core is constructed from Bamboo, Aspen, and Paulownia. Tip to tail Bamboo add snap, durability, and damping underfoot is balanced by lightweight Paulownia in the middle, tip and tail of the board. Aspen and Bamboo are placed at 30 degree angles to increase strength and add response underfoot. Laminates ICG 10 Biaxial Glass - Integrating tip-to-tail carbon fiber stringers into fiberglass layups ensures a smooth power release in and out of turns while increasing pop, liveliness, and longevity of the snowboard without adding unnecessary rigidity.Carbon Torque Forks - Adding carbon that extends from the inserts to the contact point allows for an extra responsive and stable ride. Base Sintered 4001 Base - Built from the hardest and fastest Sintered base material on the market, the 4001 base holds wax longer than other sintered bases for a faster, smoother ride.
