Storm Chaser 2026
2026 Jones Storm Chaser Snowboard The 2026 Jones Storm Chaser looks like it was made for Japan, but it's so much more than just a pretty face. Jeremy Jones, the owner and founder of Jones snowboards, says this is his favorite board in the range, not just for powder but for resort riding as well. As you can imagine, it performs incredibly well in powder, floating, surfing, speeding, and doing everything you want, but put it to work on the groomers and you'll find it carves and glides like you wouldn't expect. Surprisingly stable and fast while still being super nimble, the Storm Chaser is a board you're going to be seeing more and more of, not just overseas, but here in Australia as well. The Storm Chaser is designed to float, carve, and at the bottom line, be a powerfully fun board. Jones recommends you ride the Storm Chaser 6-13cm shorter than your traditional Directional Freeride board. Camber Profile Surf Camber Rocker Flex Directional Flex Pattern Flex Rating - 7 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) Forever Flex - All Jones boards are broken in using specialized machinery that mimics extreme riding use to help stabilize the flex and rocker profile of a board for it's lifetime. Shape Directional - This board has a setback stance, directional shape, and directional flex pattern, so ride it forwards for optimum performance. 3D Contour Base 3.0 - Freeride focused 3D Contour Base featuring a 7mm of spoon bevel in the nose and 7mm of spoon bevel in the tail. Spoon bevel starts at the rocker point. Progressive Sidecut - At the far ends of the sidecut, the radius is incrementally increased as the edge reaches the contact point. Gradually increasing the sidecut radius towards the contact point delivers smoother turn initiation and exit as the edge tracks in and out of the snow with a less abrupt transition. Core FSC(TM) Bamboo Surf Core - Re-designed triple density Bamboo Surf wood core that features primarily paulownia stringers with bamboo stringers positioned in the pocket of the sidecut for better edge response and turn power. V-Core - Boards with V-Cores are slightly softer in the very center of the board for improved maneuverability and stiffer through the tip and tail for stability and pop. Laminates Biax Fiberglass - A dual-direction, dual-layer, stitched fiberglass laminate that provides a fun, forgiving and snappy ride. Sustainable Flax / Basalt Stringers - Jones exclusive sustainable stringer made with 100% natural fibers. Composite Flax and Basalt stringer helps transfer power power to the edges, improves torsional response and absorbs board chatter. Sidewalls Recycled ABS - ABS plastic is one of the necessary evils of snowboard production. Jones improves the sustainability of their snowboards by using only recycled plastic. Base Sintered 8000 Base - New super durable material made from Ultra High Molecular Weight polyethylene and carbon. Edges Traction Tech 1.0 - Like a serrated knife slicing into the snow, Traction Tech improves your edge grip by adding multiple contact points along the running length of your board. Oversized Recycled Edges - All Jones boards are made with oversized recycled steel edges for added durability and improved production sustainability. Topsheet Eco-Plastic Topsheet - Bio-plastic topsheet made from Castor beans. This eco-material is ultralight, chip/scratch resistant and water/snow repellent (snow sticks less to topsheet). Additional Features Bio Resin - All Jones boards are now built with bio-based, renewable epoxy instead of petroleum based epoxy. The raw materials used to make Super Sap Bio-Resin are co-products or waste products of other plant-based industrial processes. Producing Super Sap requires 33% less greenhouse gas emissions than conventional epoxy. Factory Tuned - All Jones snowboards are factory de-tuned at the tip and tail so you can go right from the shop to the mountain. Wend Bio Wax - Jones boards are ready to shred straight out of the shop and are factory waxed with WEND natural wax. 100% Solar Built Binding Compatibility 2 x 4 Insert Pattern Board Size Chart Size (cm) 142 147 152 157 Effective Edge (mm) 918 958 1000 1046 Tip Width (mm) 311 317 322.4 327 Waist Width (mm) 266 271 275 277 Tail Width (mm) 290 297 302.4 307 Sidecut Radius (m) 6.3 6.6 6.9 7.2 Stance Setback (mm) 20 20 20 20 Rider Weight (lbs) 120-170 130-180 140-190 150-200
