The Slacker "RAM" Dustin Van Wechel x J Collab 2026
The first time I saw this painting of Dustin's, I was blown away! The lighting is absolutely amazing! I like how it's all focused in one spot around the main bighorn sheep head, then you start to pick up the other sheep in the foreground mixed in with the rocks and the massive glacier. The depth of the snow and clouds in the background is super cool too! Working with Dustin was great—he sent me the high-res art and we just had to make some minor tweaks to make it fit the vertical format of the ski. The end result is a badass ski with big mountain attitude. I mean, there's no more powerful beast in the mountains than the ram. It's got the strongest footing on the craziest, most treacherous terrain, and that's exactly what this ski is going to be doing for you. Dustin Van Wechel is an award-winning wildlife artist who ditched his successful 8-year advertising career in 2002 to chase his passion for fine art full-time. This dude spends countless hours camping for days in remote wilderness areas, soaking up the scenery that inspires his works of art. Every brushstroke, color mix, and texture is carefully considered to create dramatic light, bold value contrasts, and surface textures that make his paintings come alive and capture the essence of the Rocky Mountain West. I'm only building 200 pairs of this Limited Edition graphic on "The Slacker" ski and hand-signing and numbering each pair. These are going to sell out fast, so grab a pair by the horns before they charge off into the sunset!
