The Masterblaster "WEST" Jess Mudgett x J Collab 2026
My friend at Mystery Made connected me with Jess and I instantly could see his western artwork on a ski. When I hit him up, he was totally down and we made some magic happen here! The way he captures that raw, rugged aesthetic had me thinking this would be perfect on The Masterblaster. One cool detail about this graphic is that we're using a translucent topsheet so you can actually see through some areas of the art into the ski's core—the wood, metal, fiberglass—giving this graphic incredible depth when combined with Jess's bold style. Together we decided on which elements to include —cactus, snakes, skulls, mountains, hawks, sunsets—and Jess took it from there, arranging them across both skis for a natural flow from tip to tail. The base features a unique pattern inspired by one of his paintings, creating this sick contrast between the intricate topsheet artwork and the big bold base design. Jess grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado with a father who taught U.S. history. He developed a deep fascination with Western heritage and native objects—and it shows in every line he draws. His primary medium is India ink on Arches paper, though he's also known for painting on old forgotten objects he finds traveling around the USA. Only 200 pairs made on The Masterblaster, each hand-signed and numbered. These Western vibes won't last long, so grab yours before they ride off into the sunset! Check out Jess Mudgett's art here!
