"Out here until further notice.” What we’re all thinking every time we’re playing in the mountains! Ty Williams is a Maine-based artist and surfer whose work is influenced by his time surfing the Maine coast and chasing waves around the world. His aesthetic pulls from Japanese minimalism and a lifetime of surfboard art. Easy flowing lines, meditative brushwork, and a relaxed energy that somehow makes you feel like you're already outside. He's collaborated with Patagonia and countless others, and his work has shown everywhere from New England galleries to Japan. This was Ty's first-ever ski graphic, and he designed it from scratch specifically for the unique long narrow canvas of our skis. From a distance it's an endless mountain range. Up close, it's line after beautiful hand-drawn line over a warm wood grain. Some areas are more translucent, some more opaque, and the wood grain breathes through the whole piece in a way that feels natural, almost like the mountains grew right out of the ski.
