The Joyride "DAYTRIPPER" Yeye Weller x J Collab 2026
I've been wanting to work with the artist duo Yeye Weller for YEARS, but the timing never lined up! This year we finally locked it in early enough, and damn am I stoked we did! Yeye was super hands-on throughout the whole process—we went through tons of rounds until we both hit that sweet spot. This "Daytripper" graphic is straight-up bonkers in the best way possible. You've got brick walls with dripping paint, characters peeking out, people with three eyes, little drinks cheersing and spray painting—it's like a fever dream that reminds you normal is boring so “Stay Different”. On that note, after numerous rounds of colorways Yeye proposed this super progressive option and I think it kicks ass. It's so funky with these crazy smiley, bug-eyed cartoon characters everywhere I love it! Yeye's creative process is wild. It always starts with listening to music and doodling on paper, then digitizing everything with a Wacom tablet and Photoshop. Hours are spent perfecting the coloring process to create that flashy, harmonic balance that makes their work so recognizable. Working out of Münster, Germany, Yeye's philosophy is simple: "We don't have a smart message or a device for freedom, our illustrations come as they are: happy, colorful and bright." Their creative journey started collecting skateboard brand magazine ads as kids, which totally shows in their style. I'm only building 200 pairs on "The Joyride" ski, hand-signing and numbering each so this is your chance to own a ski that looks like nothing else out there! Check out Yeye Weller's art and Instagram !
