This Limited Edition ski pays tribute to the greatest guitarist who ever lived. When people see these skis on the hill, they are going to lose their minds!n Jimi Hendrix completely rewrote what was possible with a guitar. He pioneered the use of feedback, distortion, and wah-wah pedal as expressive tools rather than accidents, and his performance at Woodstock in 1969 is still studied today. Songs like “Purple Haze” didn't just top charts, they changed the entire direction of rock, blues, and funk music forever. Rolling Stone named him the greatest guitarist of all time. He was self-taught, left-handed, playing a right-handed guitar flipped upside down, and somehow made it all look effortless. We worked directly with Jimi Hendrix's sister Janie to keep the art authentic. Fank created the entire graphic from scratch, pulling inspiration from song lyrics as well as vintage psychedelic rock posters that defined that era. The kind of layered, color-saturated visual experience you'd see on a concert poster from 1968. On the base of the ski we wrote out, “Scuse me while I kiss the sky", his famous lyric from the 1967 song "Purple Haze". It symbolizes a moment of soaring above the constraints of everyday life or escaping into a heightened state of consciousness. Jimi’s music was psychedelic, explosive, and transcendent all at once. More alive than everything around him. That energy lives on in this Limited Edition ski.
