The Allplay "GREAT WAVE" Limited Edition 2026
The Great Wave of Kanagawa is a world famous woodblock print by the Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai. It's fame came from the clever way Hokusai played with perspective to make Japan’s grandest mountain appear as a small triangular mound within the hollow of the cresting wave. The artist became famous for his landscapes using a palette of indigo and imported Prussian blue. Katsushiko died in 1849 so the artwork is public domain avaialable for the public to reproduce. Like many, I've always been a huge fan of this masterpiece so I couldn't resist applying it to the canvas of a ski. I’m building only 350 pair of this Limited Edition graphic on The Allplay ski, and hand signing and numbering each so you have a one-of-a-kind ski like no one else!
