The Faction Studio 2 Skis really are that versatile, with a 102mm waist and a playful nature that'll make you smile every time you get on them. Faction starts with their classic lightweight Poplar core and adds Carbon Stringers for pop and a Carbon Rubber Stomp Pad so your feet don't sting when you land hard. Sintered UHMW Base Flex Rating 7 (1 = Soft, 10 = Stiff) XL 2.5mm Edges Fractions of a millimeter might not sound like much, but when it comes to edges, it adds up. The 2.5mm edges add an extra 25% of height to Faction's standard 2mm edge, making for a stronger and more durable ski. Full Carbon Weave Between 8 and 12 strips of carbon, sandwiching either side of the ski's woodcore, are laid unidirectionally, providing extra stability to the ski, without adding weight to the build. Each carbon strip is woven into the fiberglass to provide strength and stiffness in the full length of the ski. Lightweight Poplar Wood Core The Salomon Strive 14 MNC Ski Bindings and their LDN design put you close to the snow for maximum contact and response, enhancing power transmission and a natural on-snow feel. Lighter than previous designs like the Warden 13 and STH2 13, with multi-norm compatibility and 45mm of elastic travel to keep you in until you really need out, the Strive 14 MNC is the way of the future.
