evo.com | Burton Snowboards > We don't like to keep secrets - but we've been holding onto this one for Burton. Sorry, not sorry. If you thought the Process couldn't get better, think again. The Burton Mystery Process Snowboard takes Burton's most beloved all-mountain freestyle shape and gives it the most advanced construction they make. The result? Lighter, snappier, and more alive underfoot than anything the Process has ever been. You don't have to be a detective to feel it on the first ride - trust us, it hits immediately. We know the Mystery boards come with questions. A lot of them. So let's let the components do the talking. A Dragonfly II 500G EGD core that shaves weight without giving anything up. Mystery Glass - a custom carbon-fiberglass blend with no conventional topsheet - because why carry what you don't need? A Methlon base so fast it almost feels like cheating. Twin shape, PurePop Camber, medium to aggressive personality. Park laps, all-mountain days, that one run where everything just clicks - the Mystery Process shows up for all of it. Case closed. Grab one. Flex Rating 4 - 7 Medium Aggressive (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) PurePop Camber An evolution of a traditional camber shape, PurePop Camber profile features subtle flat zones just outside your feet to amplify pop and add playfulness to the snap and response of camber. Early rise tip and tail sections spin and float with a catch-free feel. Dragonfly(TM) 500G Core Better edge-hold, responsiveness, and strength. EGD is an acronym that stands for "engineered grain direction". It refers to the perpendicular orientation of the snowboard core's wood in four locations adjacent to The Channel, near the heel and toe edges. By orienting the wood grain to be parallel with the rider's feet, there is a better transfer of power from rider down through the snowboard to the board's edges for ultimate strength and control. Additionally, Burton adds carbon fiber stringers into the core to help the layers below and above the core fully transfer power and strength throughout the snowboard. Mystery Glass All snowboards have fiberglass, but only Mystery boards have Mystery Glass. This construction features a custom blend of fiberglass and carbon fiber specifically designed to optimize strength-to-weight and allows us to manipulate both flex and feel. The Channel(R) Stronger, faster, easier, and more adjustable - The Channel(TM) gives you ultimate control of your stance and your board in a design compatible with all major bindings (not just Burton's). Everything riders love about the Genesis EST. One less thing to think about. The Burton Step On(R) Genesis EST Snowboard Bindings pair the legendary comfort and all-mountain versatility of the Genesis platform with the effortless simplicity of Step On(R). Designed exclusively for Burton boards featuring The Channel(R), the EST mounting system delivers a natural flex and connected board feel that has made it a favorite among dedicated Burton riders. The SensoryBED(TM) baseplate enhances board feel and smooths out chatter, while the Kickback Hammock hi-back provides supportive comfort from first chair to last lap. DialFLAD(TM) makes forward lean adjustments quick and easy, and Step On(R) technology keeps transitions fast so you can spend more time riding and less time strapping in. Medium-stiff and responsive, these bindings bring together premium comfort, EST-exclusive performance, and the convenience that changed snowboarding. Single Component 30% Short-Glass / Nylon Composite Baseplate More responsive yet playful. One material throughout creates consistent response and feel for all-terrain domination. Kickback Hammock A lighter weight upgrade to the heel hammock, this two-piece heel hugging hiback is literally suspension in a hiback. Dynamic interaction between an internal spring and rubber over molded hammock results in increased response and reduced vibration while your heel is cradled in complete suspension.
