evo.com | Blizzard Skis > A full re-design of the legendary Zero G 95, the new Blizzard Zero G 96 Skis move toward a more eco-friendly manufacturing process and more on-slope versatility. Gone are the days of struggling to disengage from your edge and begin a new turn, and a slightly softer overall flex gives the ski a leg up in funky snow. With less carbon fiber in the build (there is some in the Carbon/Glass weave), no Titanal or Carbon under the bindings (they use a dense Ash wood insert instead), and recycled sidewall and base material, the environmental impace of building the ski is sharply reduced. Still one of the lightest dependable touring skis yet built, and still our go-to for long days on the skin track. Rocker Camber Rocker Ski profile with rocker at the tip and tail, camber in the middle. Reducing the pressure on the edge at the tip and tail makes the ski even easier to handle and increases flotation on powder snow. The camber guarantees great grip on packed snow. Five Radius Sidecut Trueblend Touring Core 2.0 Ultralight Paulownia combined with Poplar Re-cycled Running Base Glass/Carbon Pre-Preg Layup Already having made a name for themselves as "best in class" in the lightweight tech binding category, ATK refuses to rest on their laurels and the new ATK Raider 13 Evo Alpine Touring Ski Bindings exemplify their commitment to improving the breed. The EVO series employs a new toepiece that's easier to step in to and is adjustable for both locked (touring mode) and unlocked (ski mode) release strength, allowing the user to adjust it perfectly for their weight and skiing style. The new heel employs an "Automatic Braking System(R)" activated by rotating the heel unit rather than the previous push-in lever. As with other ATK bindings, the ease of step-in and accuracy of release is unparalleled due to the use of their patented Cam Release System(R) heel pins. Requires Boots with Toe and Heel Tech Fittings Automatic Brake System(R) Activated by rotating the heel piece from uphill to downhill mode. Release Adjustment Toe Piece(R) Easy Entry System(R) toepiece gemometry makes step-in easy and confident with any tech boot available on the market, even with worn soles.
