Helio Recon 105 Burkard 2022
The new Black Diamond Helio Recon 105 Burkard Skis are a daily backcountry driver specializing in everything from steep, technical lines to flowy powder laps. The Recons are a little heavier than the Helio Carbons but offer a better power, stability, and drive. The Balsa/Flax core is replaced with one of light Poplar and the mostly carbon layup with pre-preg fiberglass, but the weight is still reasonable and the ski performs better in the variable conditions that are all too common in the backcountry. Featuring stunning topsheet photography byChris Burkard, the only things prettier than the skis themselves are the lines you'll draw with them.
